Paper Evaluation

The McCandless Response essay is the work that I feel best represents my writing ability. I would give mine a middle grade. I wrote a clear thesis and displayed a convincing argument. After reviewing the essay I found a few grammar errors and the essay also started to lack towards the end of the paper. The conclusion came pretty suddenly and should have been more extensive. In order to give my essay the high grade, It would need a much clearer thesis and a strong argument throughout the entire paper. It would also need a better build up to the conclusion so it did not come so unexpectedly.

Group B Prompt

I developed a pretty strong opinion about McCandless and his journey, very early in the reading. Since then my opinion has not changed. I still feel that his decision was made solely for himself and not to prove a point to anyone around him. McCandless was pursuing his dream of being one with nature and escaping the regular cycle of life. He led a good fruitiful life and realized that the money and success was not what he wanted in life. My first opinion of McCandless was positive and through more reading i still do not have a negative opinion about what i chose to do.

Hello my name is Dusty Talbott I am a freshman and I live in Delta Sigma Phi fraternity. I enjoy playing sports, snowboarding, wakeboarding, and hanging out with my friends. I am from Woodinville, Washington and i spend most of my free time fixing things working on cars and building things. I work construction during the summer and I am persuing a major in Construction Managment so that i can hopefully own my dads construction company when i get out of school. I learn best through visual and hands-on work and rarely leave things unfinished.
